Much of our time is spent striving. We want to achieve more. We want to acquire more posessions. We want that perfect person in our lives.
We can become so obsessed with these things that we frequently become imbalanced. We don’t get enough sleep. Or we neglect exercise.
In our society, we are constantly bombarded by external stimuli and we are told the way to achieve balance in our lives is to use pharmaceuticals or other mind altering substances.
But here are two of the most powerful tools available for achieving that balance: meditation and exercise. If we incorporate them into our daily lives, we find that at the end of each day, we feel better physically and emotionally. Therein lies contentment. And it’s an accurate sign of time well spent.
