The loving kindness begins with yourself. Something like this:
- May I be free from anger
- May I be free from ill will
- May I be free from jealousy
- May I be free from mental suffering
- May I be free from physical suffering
- May I live in peace
- May I live happily
Next, you repeat the same phrase beginning with “My teachers, my relatives, my love ones, those friendly to me, those neutral to me, those unfriendly to me.”
You’ll find your day goes better and if you’ve been hanging onto any resentments, it will loosen your grip on them.
